We are angels, aren't we, to give our readers extra time to enjoy their favorite past time? No, not that past time! Reading! đ
Just finished reading Point Last Seen. So good!
Whose bright idea was it to put a halo over “she-who-shan’t-be-named‘s” head?
Who here is an audio book lover? Which books have you especially enjoyed in audio? Any readers you really enjoy? ... See MoreSee Less
Meâźď¸ I’m currently listening to Ain’t She Sweet? I’ve listened to this book at least 5 times in probably 7 years. This book was my very first Susan Elizabeth Phillips. Anna Fields is reading. She is one of my all time favorite readers. I enjoy listening to her and love her southern accent’s. She really was (and still is) the best reader.
First coming to mind is Susan Erickson for the In Death series. I can't read the series. MUST listen to those characters voices for FULL enjoyment of series. She makes Eve come to life. Otherwise I agree with many noted. Jim Frangione is another. The Brotherwood wouldn't be the same.
Lorelei King, love listening to her. Im an audio fan! I have 3 books going at any one time. Listen to 3-6 a week. ( car, quilting, any tasks in the house, my walks, bed time)
When I go backpacking I always listen to Michelle Obama’s becoming, while I sleep.
Me!!! I don’t think I’ve actually read any of your books, but I’ve listened to every single one, more than once.
Love audiobooks. I have libraries free rental app Just finished Call me Irresistible by you! Now listening to Gone Rogue by Janet Evanovich. I discovered this when I was on chemo and my eyes watered so bad I couldn’t read. This was 20 yrs ago and I could only get audiobooks at the library. Went there every week just before chemo so I could stock up for the week. Life saver for me because I love to read! Now I love it because I can read in the car and when I’m cleaning or cooking. I’m also older now, thank goodness, and my eyes aren’t as good. Love your books over and over again. My first book of yours, on cassette tape, was First Lady. Still my favorite. Love Evanovich, crussie, Stewart, dick Francis, Robyn Carr( that one is in my car right now, What we Find Sullivan crossing series) outlander so many books to choose from.
I love audiobooks. I listen to the majority of my books these days. I love Jacob Morgan, Susan Erickson, Andi Arndt, Teddy Hamilton, so many!
Everything is audio for me. After spending a day on medical charts with font size smaller than grains of sand, I need to preserve my vision. Audio also allows me to get some activity in. A favorite reader I haven’t seen mentioned yet is Julia Whelan.
Yes!! I'm an audiobook- phile as is my husband. Listening to a book during my 40 commute to and from work gives me something to look forward to. I'll often take my lunch break in the car to have a mid day break at work too. My husband always "has his ears on" while we're walking the dogs, doing yard work and his train commute. Anna Fields is my all time favorite reader... love any Susan Elizabeth Phillips books especially. Recently enjoying Sonali Dev who I discovered via SEP's recommendation... all great on audio! My question is... what is your listening speed on audio? I'm a 1.30 when trying to listen at a lower rate it feels too slow đ˘ to me.
The only audio books I listen to (repeatedly!) are the Harry Potter books, read in the British version by Stephen Fry. I could listen to him read those stories all day long. Apart from that I‘m still the traditional reader (on kindle, though).
I used audiobooks in my classroom (Harry Potter, Hunger Games) and in the car when my kids were little( Ramona Quimby) I stumbled across your Match Me If You Can in the adult library. That story hooked me on audiobooks for grown ups. I read every book you wrote after that!
I'm a total audiobook listener/reader and how I primarily consume books. Some of my favorite narrators Kathleen McInerney who reads Mary Kay Andrews books Orlagh Cassidy and Rob Mclarty who reads many David Baldacci books Anna Fields who reads many Susan Elizabeth Phillips books Steven Weber who reads Harlan Coben books
Years ago I had a very long commute. I went to the library & discovered Susan Elizabeth Phillips! I could hardly wait to get in the car to hear more! I also listed to Alexander McCall Smith. His books were read by Lisette Lecat. Loved her voice. Retired now & rare that I listen to audiobooks.
The very first audiobook I listened to was part of the Irish Country Doctor series, and they’re still my favorites. I went on to look for other things read by John Keating.
I only listen to authors reading their books, and even then I mostly prefer comedians or people who make me smile because thier autobiographies are like a long stand up show. Somehow hearing a fiction book doesn't let me visualise as well as I would like to, my eyes are distracted, whereas just black and white on a page leaves lots of room for my brain to paint me a picture.....
I listened a lot when I had an extremely long commute to work but lately I just read. 1.3 miles isn’t enough to get a paragraph read. I do love Anna Fields. Only once have I returned one to the library because the voice was so annoying I just couldn’t bear it.
Kevin Hearns The Iron Druid Series. I love Luke Daniel's narration.
Lincoln in the Bardo is an amazing audiobook. Books that win Audie of the Year are usually beautifully produced audiobooks. As for narrators, January LaVoy, Bahni Turpin, and Julia Whelan are some of my favorites.
I’m always listening to one audiobook while reading a different book on my kindle. I just listened to “Marmee” - a newer fiction book about the mother character in Little Women which was fantastic. ďżź One of my favorite female readers is Callie Dalton for feisty heroines. ďżźAndi Arndt is also great. For heroes, I second Sebastian York. I also really like Teddy Hamilton and Chris Brinkley.
I used to listen to audio books from the library often during my commute but my current car doesn’t have a cd player so I’m out of the habit. Kinda miss it.
The narrator for Blood Sucking Fiends: A Love Story is fantastic. I particularly love the second book in the series called Bite Me. Absolutely hysterical. Recommend!
Me I solely listen to all books on audible now. Love it! 𼰠my favorite narrator is SE Sands.
I used to listen to 2-4 audiobooks a week while I worked when I didn’t have to deal with any phones or outside emails. I loved listening to them! My favorite were Fern Michaels the sisterhood series. I listened to and read them!
I only listen to audiobooks that I’ve read. So I’ve read all your books and I have all your books on audio.
I listen every day! Therese Plummer is my most favorite.
